Dear wine friends & family
A friend told me a beautiful true story of his grandfather's moment of genius that saved his marriage. His grandfather was quite a jovial character and was always the heart of every party. Early in the first year of his marriage, his poor wife reached her limits with her extremely social husband and was waiting for him to return home late one evening - bags packed!
His grandfather returned home close to mid-night one evening, only to find his wife standing on the patio, ready to leave.
"My dear" she said, "my bags are packed and I am ready to go..."
He was quiet for an awkward moment and then responded briskly.
"Just give me a moment to pack, my love. I'm going with you!" |

J&B MET FEEDBACK
In a moment, my friend's grandfather turned something negative into something positive. During the end of 2010, the opportunity to be the official wine sponsor of the 2011 J&B Met arose and in a moment we decided to do it! Those that attended the J&B Met this year had the opportunity to taste Bosman Family Vineyards wines in the respective hospitality areas and we sported our first ever Bosman Rosé wine bar at the public area in front of the grand stand. All of our Rosé sold out on the day and we want to thank everybody for their support.
To the "I'll be watching you, Dave" guys from Windhoek, we have one message: "We drink pink drinks, Dave. Cheers!" |

Talking of pink drinks...
In our previous newsletter, we featured a lovely grapefruit and date salad with our Rosé 30. It was so popular that we decided to offer another recipe to tantalize your taste buds and guests with: |
|

|
1) Braai or bake beef fillet until tender and cut into thin slices.
2) Place beans, peas, broccoli and asparagus in boiling water for about 10 minutes until soft
but crunchy.
3)
Place salad leaves on a platter and arrange all the ingredients on top of leaves.
4) Blend all the ingredients for the sauce in a blender and pour on top of finished salad.
4) Serve with ice cold Adama White Blend 2010! |

A moment. That is all it takes.
But it can mean the difference between average and excellent, failure and success even survival and death.
During harvest, winemakers are reminded about the power of a moment. In a moment, decisions are made that determine the outcome of our wines. May you live in this moment. May you take in every breath and smell every last rose.
May you know that this moment might be the only moment that matters. To life! |
